Try not to be a Negative Nellie

Learn to love yourself! If you haven’t met your goals or have fallen by the wayside, it’s easy to be hard on yourself. Putting yourself down because of a perceived failure will send you deeper into not accomplishing what you want. Instead, reward yourself for your commitment to better health. Remind yourself of all you’ve done and keep a journal of what you want to accomplish – and write it down when you do. Read it often as a reminder – and again, learn to love yourself no matter what stage you’re at.

Wake up your workouts

Has your fitness routine become stale? Mix things up if you’ve become bored. Instead of working out at the gym, try exercising outdoors if you can. Recharge your mind and physique at the same time. Even small changes in routine can jumpstart your mind.

Shun the scale

Often, we’re too reliant on looking at the scale to tell us how we’re doing when it comes to weight loss. Focusing on numbers all the time can be detrimental. Losing weight and feeling better and healthier shouldn’t come from the scale; it should come from within. Pay attention instead to how your clothes are fitting and how much better you’re feeling. Numbers on a scale have no place in determining how you feel or how your weight loss progress is going.
