Keep your whistle wet – and often
Water makes the world go ‘round. Earth’s surface is covered in mostly water; your body is mostly water, as well. This vital element is what keeps life going all over the planet, in countless forms.
It’s important to keep yourself hydrated at all times – but many people often neglect to drink enough pure water to stay healthy. Below are some reasons and advice to stay hydrated.
Have a pre-workout guzzle – earlier rather than later
The best thing to not do is drink loads of water right before a workout. You should drink water hours before any fitness regimen. It takes that long for your body to process and filter the water – and then keep you hydrated during the workout.
Keep it cool
Replenish what you’ve perspired during the workout by drinking cold water. Doing this will keep your body temperature at normal and keep you from overheating during the workout.
Good reasons to stay hydrated
Severe dehydration can be dangerous, even deadly. On a milder level, it can create dry mouth, fatigue, headaches and nausea. Your cells need water and your brain and kidneys can suffer the effects of severe (clinical) dehydration.
