If you think that your lifestyle can’t squeeze in a bit of healthy living, well, the experts from our women’s fitness centre in Perth have news for you!

Keep away from the sugary breakfast cereals

Eat whole grain instead. You’ll get loads of fibre and your heart and digestive system will thank you, as well.

Cut back on the caffeine

Cut Back On The Caffeine

Say what? Yes, we know, but hear us out: a glass of water with a whole, fresh squeezed lemon in it will jumpstart your system just as well as coffee – without the nasty crash later on.

Fight the flu

Pre-emptive healthcare includes getting an annual flu shot. It might cost a bit more if your employer doesn’t offer it, but it’s worth its weight in gold to not fall ill to this nasty malady.

Perfect your posture

Keep fit when you sit (or stand): good posture is important to the workings of the rest of your body.

Good day, Sunshine

If you don’t get enough sunshine, even in our sunny country, then you’ll need to take a vitamin D supplement. If you enjoy the sun, don’t overdo it, but aim for 10-15 minutes per day.

Water water everywhere

Some folks don’t like drinking water but it’s important to indulge anyway. You should aim for 2 litres per day.

Snack well – but snack smart

Everyone gets the munchies, but you can control what kinds of snacks pass your lips. Great choices are nuts (in moderation), dried fruits, cut-up crunchy veggies (like baby carrots) or even a low-fat yoghurt will ease the nagging tummy rumbling.

Take care of your peepers

Your eyes are important and they rely on a whole special health regime, too. There are vitamins and various fruits and veggies to help keep your eyes healthy. You should also take care not to strain your eyes while reading or at the computer. Make certain to visit your ophthalmologist at the first sign of trouble or change to your vision.
